I was going from sale to sale today without much luck.

The sales for our part of the country are starting to wind down for the year.

So, I was not thinking it was going to be a good day until. :tongue3:

I turn down this one street, and on the corner was a lady and daughter sitting

with 2 tables in the yard.

I jumped out to look at the table with the jewelry and asked if there was any gold?

She tells me no there is only the fake stuff left from our estate sale last month.

Well :laughing9: All the time she is telling me this I am scanning the table and see

one bracelet that I knew was gold.

I ask how much the stuff was and she said "oh a buck for anything on the table"

I open the clasp and see 14kt, and close it up while doing a little small talk.

I thank her for letting me look and tell her I'll just take this one, and off I go.

When I get into the truck I just know this is a nice one. When I got home it weighs

in at 5.6 dwt :o

With todays price this little gem is worth a touch over $205.00 :P

So, who says a buck does not buy much these days. :laughing9: :laughing9:

Gl everyone have a good day and hh

I had almost the same thing happen, but not with your kind of luck.

I kind'a knew it was a big gamble when the mother asked her little girl, "Where did you get that necklace?" The young, 5th grade daughter said, "Oh, that's the one that dad bought from a man selling some at the Jack In The Box.?

The mother said, "I'll take a quarter for it."

I paid her and left the garage sale. The necklace had "14 KT" stamped on the lobster claw clasp end, but when checked with an electronic gold tester at a place that buys gold, it came out fake.... The large link figaro necklace is a thing of beauty, though.

Have yours checked just to be sure...
