Sedwick Auction Running Live

Hey-fun watching the bids....what is with # 777.....way over estimates and wonder why. And, when do we get to see your new treasures ?????

Yeah estimate $750-$1100 and it went to $4000. The only one I have won so far is that whacky shaped #463. I love it....

Good to see cobs bringing such good prices in this economy. I love watching the auction bids fly in real time! I got the print ctalog sitting right here with me. It is excellent...

DiveWrecks-very interesting, funky shaped coin you won...congrats :hello2: :hello2: Will phone tomorrow to see if there are still catalogs left...am dazzled by the prices of the gold coins and emeralds.....

I love wacky Mexican cobs. If you look in Alan Craig's "Spanish Colonial Silver Coins in the Florida Collection" it fits in perfectly with the three picture pages of what he refers to as "bizarre" shaped coins from the 1715 Fleet.

An expensive book, but excellent, and a must for the 1715 fleet enthusiast:

Of course the serious enthusiast will need the companion "Spanish Colonial Gold Coins in the Florida Collection"

Out of print, and pricey used, but I have an extra if you want it cheap Fla-Gal.
