Second trip's diggins from ferry crossing....

Well I went back down to the spot I hunted yesterday that gave up all the CW bullets and relics. (first post was "todays diggins") I managed to get another pretty good pile of lead and a few brass items:

I found most of an old oil lamp, a harmonica reed, and a sash buckle mixed in with all the bullets. Seems that most of the bullets are .58 minies and Williams cleaners, with a few different pistol rounds, I also found two fired Spencer carbine bullets in with all the minies and cleaners. All these bullets were probably fired by Union troops from across the river as the side I am on was held by the Confederates.

Love the Lead. Like the photos of the field, thanks for including them. Hope you get some other good stuff from the site before construction ruins it for you.

Another great hunt. The county should be paying you for retreiving those historic artifacts before they are lost forever!

Thank's for rescuing these guy's Dharmacy.....Gotta place now that's full of "perc hole's" since last year...1/2's gone ,already lived in....just a matter of time.Thank's for sharing....Good luck and HH!!
