Went back to my 8th great grandfather's place with a new coil and found some more goodies!
First target was this large tombac button,, and the back indicates manufacture from the 1760s-1780s! Definitely during the time my ancestors was alive and well.
Then came this toasted draped bust half cent. The classic head large cents is in the same condition.
This complete harmonica was a surprise!
Then I popped out this 1919 Merc. In an adjacent field. My second silver coin, and getting closer to breaking that 1800s barrier!
