Been really busy this last month without much time for anything nevermind metal detecting. This past week managed a few short hunts and found a couple bucket listers. Also found my second ever SLQ with a date.
Two days ago I was hunting the field at our barber property when I found my first bucket lister, 1840 seated half dime.
The kid borrowed my pin pointer the day before this hunt unknown to me until it was too late. I was on my way out the door for a hunt when I found out.
Anyway, swinging in the rain I got a deep 79-80 hit but, sounded small more like a 22 casing. Flipped a plug and actually moved my target out of the hole twice before finally finding it, felt totally naked with out my pin pointer.
After a quick clean up with a little water from the jeep, not having the pin pointer didn't much matter.
Only other keeper was a pendant that looked silver all the way. It's not marked and the aluminum foil and spit test failed.
