Moving away from my colonial spots in baltimore I thought would be the death of my hobby but now living in Ohio I've picked up some awesome permissions. Weather has been a drag but I have been managing to get out once a week. I primarily hit private yard permissions and below was my take from a big ole mansion. Only my first permission with the etrac so I've got a lot of learning to do on the machine. The seated has awesome detail but has some weird brown color which I can't tell if it's just dirt. I know better than to clean aggresively lol

I'd say that is a fantastic hunt! Thanks for sharing and HH ALL

Big Congrats!! That is a great representation of Ohio finds. That's how we roll here in the Buckeye State. I have hunted exclusively Old existing home sites and have never found a Seated anything yet! I have found several large cents and Indians, so the time period is right but the Capped and Seated coins have eluded me. Although I did find a 1/2 Reale at one site, other than that Barber Silver is the oldest I've found. Good luck when it thaws out!

Neat finds! Hope your new permissions net you even more treasures! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Great shape on the seated!
Let's see how things are in Ohio. We'll be watching.. GL on the learning curve and HH!
