Searching old newspapers

I love genealogy and learning not just of my family, but of the history of their time.

Now that my hubby and I have taken up this metal detecting hobby...I have been searching old newspapers on lost treasures and such....

Would ya'll like to hear of any old articles relating to lost / found treasures, mines (many that may not be used today), can possibly try to find towns that are now ghost towns... anything to help in your ventures...I would be happy to search and post. If the info is there, I can pretty much find it.

I have already found a few that I find interesting. I can either post the actual article as seen in the paper or just re-type it in...however you wish to see it and read about it.

You can find alot, in old newspapers. Never know you just might run up on something that you never thought you would.
