Wonder if they ever found it? Want to go to Tacoma?

I did a search for the words “Tacoma Harbor Lost Safe”
and that was the only hit between 1836 and 1963 of all states newspapers available.

0 results on “Tacoma Harbor found Safe”

So if it was Found, It apparently wasn't considered Newsworthy :dontknow:

Nice, this is just up the road from me. Tacoma is still a large and busy port. You would have to seriously narrow it down.

Not only is Tacoma a large and busy port, the harbor bottom is littered with hundreds of tons of metal debris from decades gone by.

Too late for more coffee.

Here is more info on the lost safe. I also could find no info as to whether it was ever recovered.

And a side note on "Diver Baldwin" who was searching for this safe, later died while working a sunken ship in the harbor-
