Lincoln's Knob Creek Home Site Completely Destroyed

A crew from the National Park Service is leaving Kentucky finding no trace of Abraham Lincoln's Knob Creek Boyhood Home.

The crew had been thoroughly searching the property, hoping to find remnants of the home in time for Lincoln's Bicentennial birthday celebration.


Archaeologists say development during the last century likely destroyed any traces of the home.

A cabin where one of Lincoln's neighbors lived is still standing there.

Maybe it's just me but I think I would like my tax dollars going to something useful.

I would much rather see my tax money doing something in my own country (even looking for Lincoln's house ) , than to go overseas to help a nation that has no desire to help themselves and expects the USA to keep their country's citizens alive and well , while they hate our guts at the same time.
