Hello!
Please tell me about the choice of detector.
The depth is up to 3 meters. The search for gold. The size of the find is a pot of gold. The country is mountainous.
According to legend, a friend's grandfather buried gold coins. It is known where it is located, but the search area is about 200 square meters.
I'm looking for a suitable device. So far, I've looked at the br 20 pro for $2,000, but there are no reviews on it.
The detector's budget is a maximum of $2,500.
Please help me with the choice.

Those things don't work at all is my opinion. You need a two box and it will be very difficult to find at that depth. Two box is a metal detector with separate receiver and transceiver.
Good luck!

Translation:
Can you recommend several models that are best suited? You can go beyond the budget.

I have no experience with it, but you might look at the Xtrem Hunter accessory for the XP Deus II detector. See here for info.

At 3-meters deep, you need a bulldozer and a backhoe!

It's going to be difficult. There are trees on the territory. There's probably a treasure under one of them. but he was struck about 30 years ago and there is a fear that the roots of the trees could have dragged him deeper.

tell me.. do you have a backhoe to dig 3 meters deep ? :dontknow: 😲🤣

Andrew,

Unfortunately, the size of the object matters at that depth. If it were a big object, you might have some luck with a two-box detector. Or I've seen guys selling 1-meter and 2-meter coils. But they will not detect small objects. Sorry. A commercial Metal detector is just not going to work for the application you described. Don't be fooled by ads you might see on the internet.

As the guys have mentioned, you would be better digging the whole area with a backhoe if you are sure, it is there. Or scanning the area with a GPR. if the "Pot" is big enough.

Okay, I'll give you some more details. a few kilograms of gold and guns. Is that something you can find at this depth?

Better be a very big pot of metal, as no detector is going to detect 3 meters or 10 foot on a small pot or chest.

Yes. You need a very large, draggable coil (2-meters x 3meters), and a Pulse Induction box, like a Minelab GPZ or GPX, Garrett Axiom maybe, So about a US$10,000.00 set up to realistically search that deep.

I can share my find with someone (1 kilogram of gold) who has such high-end equipment. All expenses, rubber expenses and equipment are on you. Success is not guaranteed :occasion14:

Why would the grandfather dig 3 meters deep to bury the treasure? Doesn't make sense to dig that deep.
