We are still in search mode. We covered 6 fields in 5.5 hours. In the morning we tried a field that had no other intel other than Dad seeing other detectorists diggings. This field we decided was OK & might hold a few Medieval bits but not the type of field we are after. The second field had no intel but it just looked good. It turned out to be a blank, so one to cross off the list.
After lunch we followed up on a Archy lead, this one also was a blank. We tried another nearby field without success & then fell back to a Roman area which had only been a lean site. End up with 6 scrappies.
