Does anyone notice a difference between the 8" and 10" mono coils for this PI detector?

I know the 10" covers more area, but is the depth essentially the same.

Is the 10" coil too unwieldy?

It has been a while since I have played with mine and I remember the larger coil as being deeper, but this is hard to tell unless you really have two detectors with you or a buddy with a different coil size. I didn't have any trouble managing it in the water. The coil doesn't feel like it wants to float like White's PI's.

I have used them both allot. I like the smaller coil due specifically to pinpointing. the larger coil goes deep so be prepared to dig. I have found a BB @ 10 inches. 22KT Ring @ 14 inches, Nails and metal up to 24 inches. You just dig allot.

You dig a lot, and find the good targets disced out or too deep by others.
