School me on the White's IDX Pro....

Hello All,
I just picked up an White's IDX Pro and was hoping I could get some info on it. I was curious if anyone had any tips/tricks for it? I have also been reading a little about the Mr. Bill Mod and was hoping I could get some more info on this as well, to see if the mods are worth the $$ spent? I have been using a White's Prizm II and feel the IDX is a similar machine only better with more adjustment/depth. I did get to take it out to a local Park today for a couple hours and really really liked the way it feels and operates.

I get about 6 to 8 inches depth with mine. I'm not a pro at the settings yet, so I'll have to leave that aspect of it up to a more proficient IDX owner to fill you in on that stuff. I've just been trying out different settings each time I go out, testing my gold coin, silver coins, my rings, about anything that I can find a predictable signal with. But then again, I normally dig most every strong signal I get. I personally kinda wish my rod was a bit longer, because I'm 6'1" and it really seems a little short for me. I also have the smaller sniper-type coil for it when I hit up the really trashy areas, as well as the 15" depth coil. They both work pretty good.

I just don't have enough time to get out alot and detect right now, or else I'd probably be able to tell you more.
But there's other IDX owners on here that are older than me and understand the machine better than myself... hopefully they'll chime in!

Thanks for the input. Sounds like I just need to spend some time with the IDX as with any MD to learn what it can do and make it perform. I think I will also do some research on other coils as well as the IDX mods.
