DAY 1
I went back to the elementary school. I am cleaning up areas that have not shown a lot of promise, but you never know. Last time it was an unpromising area that gave up a nice silver necklace.

I spent 5 hours swingin the CZ21 and found 23 coins with a face value of $1.14, a wheatie, part of an eyeglass frame, a beat up pewter dolphin, a butterfly charm, an interesting buckle, 2 bullets, a T connection for rubber tubing, a heavy skull pendant, aluminum bottle caps, aluminum fence tie wires, can slaw, 20 tabs and 6 pencil ends.

The buckle is a different style. The bullets are a small roundball I thought at first was a sinker. The other one is a modern copper jacket one. Nothing special really.

DAY 2
My silver streak at the K-8 school ended on this trip. I covered a large area swingin the CZ21 for 6 hours, but there was no silver to be had. I did find 62 coins with a face value of $2.52, 7 wheaties, a tiny toy jet fighter, a ball button, a plastic gem from a kiddie ring, a jewelry tag, an ace bandage clip, a hat pin without the pin, a brass connector, 2 whatzits, a WATERPROOF tag, aluminum bottle caps, aluminum wire, a vaping device, can slaw and whole cans, 23 tabs and 23 pencil ends.

The ball button is a modern one from the looks of it. No backmark and the construction is a more modern style. The round tapered brass piece looks like a plug of some kind. It could be for almost anything. The ball with a hole in it looks and feels like lead or pewter. It is hollow and not just drilled out for a shaft. No idea what that one is for. Again nothing really special.

DAY 3
I went back to the little used field that has produced an Indian head penny on every trip. It was rainy, but the ground was thawed and it was 35 degrees so the digging was ok.

I spent 5.5 hours swingin the CZ21 and found 41 coins with a face value of $4.29, a straw topper, a dollar coin, 2 roundballs, a squashed penny, a game tab, a toy Batmobile, a brass whatzit, can slaw, aluminum bottle caps, 62 tabs and 2 pencil ends.

The James Buchanan dollar coin was a nice surprise. The 2 roundballs probably date from around the time of the large cent I found here, but no way to be sure. They are a small pistol ball and a mashed musket size ball. The squashed penny looks like a railroad penny (left of the tracks for the train to squash).

The brass whatzit is mostly solid with a hollow end. The other end is tapered so it is wider than the shaft. Not sure what it was used for, but

DAY 4
I went to a ball field in a tiny town 25 miles away. I haven’t been there in about 4 years. It is a community field now, but originally it was a K to 12 school field. The school closed about 20 years ago. There was some civil war activity in the area and I have found seated dimes and dropped civil war bullets here on the past.

I spent 4.5 hours swingin the CZ21 and found 66 coins with a a face value of $4.42, a drawer knob, an old brass hair clip, a 1920 wheatie, a flag rope clip, a few tabs, some foil, can slaw, 18 tabs and 2 pencil ends. I was hoping for at least one bullet or a silver coin like I have found in the past, but no luck this time.

NON DETECTOR FINDS
I did find $0.62 in the coin return at the grocery store self checkout. I also found 2 dimes in the coinstar. While I was leaving a store I found a gift card in the parking lot. I check and it has balance of $27.46. It is for a fashion store we don’t use, but I’m sure one of the grandkids probably shops there so I’ll give it to one of them.

Nothing very special this week. I found almost as many tabs and pencil ends as coins and I ended 2 really nice streaks. This week was kind of discouraging. I’m not sure I will get out next week with holiday preparations and bad weather headed our way. Thanks for looking, stay safe, good luck, have a great holiday and may your coil lead you to good things.
