Schola Elementare Medallion, how old? I

I’ve posted this once before a long time ago with little response, but after all the great info I got on my families love token I wonder if anyone could offer a little info as it it’s age and origin. Thanks again for any info offered.

only thing I can find is that it's Italian, evidently from a school of some sort. My best guess is that it dates probably somewhere between 1880-1900

Way cool, thanks fyrffytr1 and Crusader for that extra info, now I have more info to find out if it’s a family piece or just something he acquired... on the solved thread thing, I’m wondering if I have different options since I access from a phone? That or I’m just not internet savvy enough to figure it out.
