I hit a Salvation Army today and spied this clock for $4 dollars. It's a Schatz 400 day anniversary clock made in West Germany. They said it wasn't working but I figured out what was wrong and it was a simple fix. I think I'll keep it he'll make a great companion for JLC Atmos clock I got last month. $4?! Nice. I tried to go to SA yesterday, there was not a single parking spot, people were parking in the fire lane. I circled around a couple times, nothing opened up so I said to hell with it - ill try again another day.

Neat find. I have this German made clock I picked up some time ago. The name on it is Kundo. The skeleton movement is mounted on a clear piece of plexiglass and it's powered by an a electric solenoid pendulum. I put a battery in it when I got it and it ran. It was in a thrift store for $9.99. I've had it in a plastic bag in the shed for maybe 8 to 10 years now? It was purchased to resale, but I never got around to it. Probably better do that this winter? It's kinda heavy and delicate, but the pendulum has a lockdown latch so it won't swing around during shipping I guess. It's all in a glass case and that concerns me about shipping it also. It will definitely take some expert packing to send it somewhere. Won't be cheap to ship, especially overseas.

That is cool. It sort of looks like a JLC Atmos. Clearly this was a presentation Clock as you can see where the plaque was. My Atmos has that too. BTW most clocks like this have locking mechanisms for shipping. Both the Shatz and Atmos have them and I am sure yours does too.

Tamrock, I shipped off a Seth Thomas through eBay Global Shipping last week. I locked down the mechanism. Bubblewrapped, taped, bubble wrapped some more, taped. Places in a box and then in another box and it should be almost in China. If it is broken upon opening in Kentucky, my fault. If it breaks from that point on...eBay reimburses the buyer. It was similar to yours.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1497401003.551649.jpg Back to you JimDon, sorry for the hijack.
