This is a great video showing one of the Sierra Funds best and brightest saying at a SB637 hearing that the free volunteer EPA programs were "TOO SUCCESSFUl" the best part is the witnesses reaction to her comments, in case you don't know or recognize him, he is the supposed "author" of the bill. What cannot be overstated enough is that the $8 million dollars The Sierra Fund has received is not for fixing the mercury problem of the entire state of California. It's a downpayment on one small project (one that they are past due in completion on) in one watershed out of the many many watersheds that are contaminated. It amounts to less than 1% of the total area in need of remediation. Do the math, this sets the bar for an endless revenue stream that will last for years to come costing the tax payers hundreds of millions not millions of dollars.

Of course they're (the Greenies) going to do their best to keep us from upsetting their little cash cow! These groups have stopped being true wardens of the land and are now nothing more than an organized company that is stealing millions of dollars of tax money from people all across the west. IMHO these groups need to be disbanded (preferably by force) but only after they return every last dime of tax money they have received over the years WITH INTEREST.

Back in the day the green groups were good but once they found that they could bilk the government of out tons of tax dollars and never really have to do anything to earn it they went down hill like a runaway train. That train needs to have some brakes applied to it so these groups can be held accountable for the monies they get. No More false science to keep honest miners out of the waters of the west so THEY can charge outrageous amounts to get rid of mercury that miners would remove for free.

I was there in person it was pretty ridiculous.....the committee didn't ask questions cause they don't care.....mentioned that they weren't used to so many people ready to speak up....they didn't care......

What you have to remember here is that many of the politicians are getting "campaign donations" from many of these groups. And when they leave office they are allowed to keep those "campaign donations" thus more often than not making them millionaires.

This is not meant to be political in any way, just a heads up on how this stuff works.
