Point taken and I will try to revise my tone. These issues mean more to me than most of you would think. I very much want to discuss these issues with you all. If my opinion is not valued, then I will be glad to keep it to myself. I don't think calling Obama, Ben's idol, is appropriate for this thread. Not to mention your "facts" are about as factual as an honest politician, as in non existent and false. If it wasn't for Obama?? Really? The problems in this country started long before Obama. Granted he hasn't helped and there is something about him I don't trust. I do not care for the current president. I have never, nor would I ever, vote for him. But that doesn't give you the right to say he is Ben's idol just because he has a different political view than yours. That being said, your comments are false and juvenile.

Wow, an adult voice - finally. We can all disagree but there is never a reason to get personal, to insult, etc, etc. Even my six year old knows better than that. Can someone please tell people that insults and personally directed posts are not going to be tolerated. That is the rules of the site. Lets get back to discussing issues like mature adults. I agree, Obama has contributed to the decline of this nation in leaps and bounds. The point I was actually trying to make is the remark by onfire. Calling Obama Ben's idol wasn't really necessary nor did it accomplish anything other than a cheap shot at another member. I see you (or someone) edited/removed it without mention.

Personally, I think Obama should be impeached.

Gmd I guess I'm the evil mastermind behind the post by jerseyben, answered by onfire and then commented on by dig. But I guess I'm controlling all of these people. It's all my fault. Funny just like how some people blame someone else for everything wrong in the world?? I guess that is all some folks can process?

So you want to be an adult? And you start with telling everyone how juvenile they are. Every time. I could post hundreds of these exact posts. They start as a put down, and how much smarter you are and then goes on to say that everyone but you and a select few are the only adults.

Only posted in response to someone's insult. Believe me plenty of people are getting tired of the folks who can't hold a normal mature conversation. As you can see I'm not the only one posting this. It's a waste of everyone's time. Lets just stick to the issues being discussed right?

Dave, I think if you looked you would find that the vast vast majority of us have great respectful fun and informative conversations - even though some of our beliefs are very different. . Most of us know each other, pm each other, etc. There is a very small minority of folks who either do not want to or do not know how to play nicely on the playground. Hopefully they will join the rest of the group.

Sure, I haven't been on this site very long, so I would not know how interactions on this playground work.

I have noticed, however, in my short time here that some are skillful at belittling and imparting blame to anyone that does not share their beliefs. I have also found that some tend to exaggerate their "centrist" viewpoints.

Besides the few that do not like to play nicely though, most members are a fantastic group of people, Believe it or not I know alot of members. I know that is strange since I haven't been here that long.

We have rules against insults... As example calling me or someone else a conservative is not an insult, calling me a fool, an idiot ect is. Telling me I am avoiding answering a question or deflecting the question is not an insult, telling me I am to stupid or lack the education to understand an issue is an insult.............(Moderators decide what is an insult)

There is nothing in our rules against personally directed posts unless they contain an insult..

Yes you are right. Used in response to every post directed against me or another using insulting language. Just as when someone posts a racist comment a group of us generally call that out too. They usually get deleted. You might not have been here for one of those beauties. Best.

For example you can check out the post called Supreme Court and the quote by a member called red and the response by a member named crispin. Again when someone insults a member someone usually calls it out. Hopefully you will call out anyone who starts an insulting, racist, sexist etc post also and bring it to the attention of the moderators.
