Saturday’s Finds xx

After a busy week at work, was super excited to awake to a beautiful sunny morning! The field in the middle of the village where I found the Roman ring had been chopped, so we headed there.

Himself was on his A game today thank goodness and found this lovely Livery Button, then we have some buckles, not sure what this next piece is it’s about 6cm long and 3 cm wide, some bits, 1944 Thrupney bit and a toasted farthing, buttons, then he found a broken silver coin, and last but not least… I got a lovely Lizzie hammered!

Then being Summer in England the heavens opened, thunder, lightning and hail stones saw us make a hasty withdrawal!

If everything wasn’t so green, you could easily believe it was Autumn, the house in the photo had its fire lit, so strange to be smelling woodsmoke in June 🤔 xx
