Awesome collection of history, from the Romans to the present all in a few hours of swinging! Fascinating. Love how the earlier clay pipes are the smallest since tobacco was more expensive in the early days 1500's and 1600's those pipe shards.

Loom weight is very cool. Went straight to it. All of th epipes. I wonder did you find them all very close to each other? Could be a lost shipment?

Looks to be a good spot, I would have been happy with the bellarmine face. Never had one, & its on my wish list of buying finds, but the whole ones are out of my cash range.

Great selection of finds. The soda pop and the horseshoe flask are really nice finds. The Bellarmine pottery finds are so cool it would be really nice to find one.

Looks like you had a great day out! This isn't a personal attack but....I always wonder what people will do with that much stuff. I mean will you actually se it or will it end up in a dusty box in the shed? If it was me I'd take the good stuff and leave the rest for someone else to find and enjoy their day out. Last year I was detecting a meteorite site and I was getting lots of pieces, after I had a few in my bag I started reburying the new ones I was finding so that someone else could have a good day detecting.

Fantastic hunt! You managed to find a little of everything! Congratulations!

You never have a problem with not leaving enough in the Thames. People have been picking from it for hundreds of years. You have to try it to believe it, its piled up.

hi give a lot away ,interesting bit go to the museum ,copper, lead, brass and scrap gold are sold and reinvested in gears .A good pair of boots is expensive and I need 2 a year

I've been mud larking on the Thames, and I know how much stuff is there but I still don't see the sense in carting loads of stuff home. Eventually it ends up in the dump/tip and following generations (maybe your grandkids?) won't be able to enjoy mudlarking. That's all I'm saying
