Thanks Don, I'm still looking for my first silver. Have you had any luck with silver coins up in North County?

When you find wheats Silver can't be too far behind.

Congrats on the wheats and welcome to Tnet. :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

I'm located a bit more north .. in Long Beach. There is Silver here but most of the park Silver is way deep. At the beach winter storms yield some erosion Silver.

Love the old car!

In my experience, silver is very rare on No. Co. beaches--where I hunt. Finding a SAK or SBA dollar coin happens more frequently than finding silver. But the 'entertainment' value of hunting on the beach can sometimes outweigh finding a silver dime--as long as your finds include dollar coins. I've heard that either the transit or parking system in Oceanside currently provides or previously provided these dollar coins in their change.
Don....

The old car is a replica 1933 Willys Matchbox, the wheaties are 1938D, 1941S, & 1942D...and I found a 1970 S Penny in the bunch but can't tell if it's the small date or large date? any thoughts...
