in my opinion all thrift stores are krap, for what I look for.
Last friday I took a vacation day and decided to hit many t-stores in my area. I only wanted recycle metal, copper, brass and pewter. nothing else. I would go in a scout out the place, half the time there would be 20-40 pieces of outdated brass and copper pieces, some even damaged. I would track down the manager (never talk to the flunkie help) and offer to buy everything at a per pound price. I told him I would clear their shelves. Not one would even talk. I only went to one of the big box stores, the rest were smaller community or club or church stores. I guess they like their shelves to look full and don't want to sell anything.
