I believe this medal may have to do with the Russo-Turkish war of 1806 - 1812. I'm not 100% sure though.
Any help in translating what it says is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance...........

I used Russian Alphabet, АБВГДЕ
ЁЖЗИЙК
ЛМНОПР
СТУФХЦ
ЧШЩЪЫЬ
Э

of course I had to Guess on a couple letters.

Then Google translate
as this: ВЪ ЧЕСТЬ ЭА СЛУ ЖЕННОМУ СОЛДАТУ

& got
"WON HAVE A WELCOMED WOMAN SOLDIER"

or
HONOR 3 HELP THE WOMAN SOLDIER

it in turn asked

Did you mean: В ЧЕСТЬ ЭА ЗАСЛУЖЕННОМУ СОЛДАТУ

Which translates to

IN HONOR OF THE EA A DESERVED SOLDIER ?

or В ЧЕСТЬ 3А ЗАСЛУЖЕННОМУ СОЛДАТУ

IN HONOR 3A, THE DESERVED SOLDIER

Mixing things up, I'm guessing it's honoring women soldiers in 1806 But only a Guess.

Good work Jeff! It helped find this one: IMPERIAL RUSSIAN MEDAL "IN HONOR OF THE WELL-DESERVED SOLDIER" ALEXANDER I COPY | eBay

And this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/549786607/imperial-russian-medal-in-honor-of-the

Unfortunately, with both of those being listed as a copy of the medal, it may be the same with this one?

Great work for sure Jeff..........Thanks

nhbenz thanks for the links. Chances are it is a copy also, there was no ribbon just the medal. Good reason to do more research and find an original
to compare with............Thanks again guys...............
