✅ SOLVED Round Zinc wats-it

I detect a lot of pre 1950 home sites. Pre as in people had to move out of their homes because they were now within a water shed lake's flood boundary. So most of the items I find pre date 1950. Here is a little item I found this morning. Any ides what it could be from? Snuff tin? jar lid? Anyway it says Brown News CO. 15. Price fifteen cents.

Maybe the lid to a collapsible cup... apparently collapsed a bit too far.

Yeah, would say tin lid.

Found similar, would for margarine, coffee and such things. Would google brown news coffee/tee/margarine ect. and see if i find something country specific.

I think I can go with that the area I found it in loco town used to have a bustling train station there back in the day. I also can't find more info on Brown News Co.
