Clay marble? Roundball? In my opinion too round to be natural although Mother Nature can make any shape with the right conditions

If you would be able to give us the dimensions or take a pic of it next to a coin for perspective that would help.
As OTB suggested, it's likely to be a clay marble... here's one I found last year for comparison.

Congrats Cianamae and welcome to TNet! Absolutely what Dave said. These things were made in several popular sizes. The one Dave is holding is the marble. They also made a shooter that was about an inch and a quarter in diameter, so a size reference would be good. In pic 2 at 10 o'clock there looks to be a blemish on the circumference. That looks like a side view of the kind indicating mark that you see on all of these marbles. They glazed it and then set it in the kiln. When the glaze liquefied it ran down the marble and made a little mark where the shape rested on the kiln floor. Looking straight at it, will appear as a small circle.

Best wishes!

Could be a clay marble, but I'm not to sure...
The surface almost looks like a ceramic filter ball or mill stone with rust stains.
They all look about the same on camera.
Pretty cool find in a creek

and Welcome to TreasureNet
