I found this pin/badge a few days ago, and have been searching for any information on it for a few days, but haven't come up with anything. The area I found it was near an old railroad line used in the copper mines late 1800- early 1900's, and it does have a face in profile on it wearing a cap or hat, a "wheat" like piece sticking out at an angle at the top left, and writing on the bottom portion that sticks down from the circle. I can't make out the writing, it may even be a foreign language, as I think there are 3 words, and it looks like there might be a "Z" in the first word, an "EA" in the middle of the second word, and an "S" on the end of the last word. Hoping someone might have an idea, I have been searching society pins, labor pins, Croatian and Serbian pins (had some immigrants with the mining). Just hoping someone can point me in a new direction, I've exhausted all I can think of. There is no pin on the back, but it looks like one was there at some point vertically, it is a bit bigger than a dime, and it is in rough shape. Thanks for looking!

It's a Dizzy Dean premium pin from the 40s round about. He was a hall of fame baseball player. Here is what it would have looked like....

Oh my gosh, I could have saved HOURS of work! That is the most amazing ID ever , THANK YOU! How cool, I was really thrown by the "Z"s in the wording, I was convinced it was some weird foreign labor badge, but frankly, this makes it the coolest pin I have ever found. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Just a follow up, in case anyone else finds one and is looking at this thread, these were given out as a prize by sending in one Grape Nuts Cereal box top as part of Battle Creek, MI General Mills ‘Winners’ promotion. The promo ran in 1936 to the end of December 31st, 1936 and had 6 different Dizzy Dean items you could choose.
