Went back for a second hunt at a location that had a lot of activity during WWII. Wind was out of the South all day around 20mph and the temps were in the 80's. Final silver total for me was 1938 Washington, 1936, 1942 Mercs and two unknown date wheats. The ground there is very rough on pennies for some reason but the silver comes out beautiful. My partner found the other merc in the photo which was a 1935.

My partner found this little beauty which we at first believed was an instrument gauge from a plane. They had planes stationed here in WWII. After some research, we discovered it was a piece to a pocket watch made by E. Ingraham Company.

You never know what you will see in Mississippi. This goat was eating next to a creek out in front of us. I have no idea where he came from, but obviously he's someone's pet. My daughter got a kick out of seeing that. We also saw a Speckled King Snake, but I didn't get a pic of him.

All in all it was a great day. Got to do something I really enjoy and both kids (9 and 10) went with me. They had a blast as well.

NICE DAY....finding SILVER -- enjoying the weather -- and having 2 of your young kids having a good time....it just don't get any better than that, my friend. GOOD LUCK & Happy Hunting.
