the jumps where semi consistent
so I dug, found (hit) a rotten wood box at 14"
worst rotting I have ever seen!! put on gloves and emptied it on the grass, practically came apart in my hands!! (so many bugs ughhhhhh )
wrapped in old news paper and petrified towels (more. bugs.)
found these!!
cleaned the steins for like two hours each. so terrified of breaking them!!!!!
both say Germany on bottom and are numbered
the leather and wood on the bellholder are petrified the bell is clay (ceramic)
the bell that is not in the wood is solid copper the hole and such have marks that make me think it was hand tooled?
whadda ya think. personally love the contents, incinerated whatever remained of the box bugs and all!! these were the larvae looking ones. UGHHHHHHHH
Any one know about steins?
Going to disinfect now.
Thanks,
Jay
