Rosette or back of a pocket watch?

Seems to be brass or copper. Has a gold shiny finish and some green in the areas where it’s corroded. The top side is smooth. Rounded outward some. The back side seems to be made of the same material but a separate piece snapped in. You’ll see two hole type of areas on either side. There is what appears a weld/solder site near one of those.

Site is fairly old. Early-mid 19th century.

I think your right with the pocket watch though Im not very good at whatzits
