Roman Wulf Head Pendant

After we had snow the whole friday i had to go out to the new site today. We had lots of wind yesterday so there wasn't too much snow on the open field. Still too much for efficient detecting, i tried to find the hot spot in this field which had a roman homestead or smaller settlement. Got the usual WWII brass stuff, a little lead, fragment of a silver plated cross, horse harness mount, coin scrappie, roman mount of some kind and a wulf headed pin. Surely the find of the day.
I love these days out! :laughing7:

what do you mean by "Roman wulf pin"?

Did you established (for this DACIAN wolf/draco: Dacian Draco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia you found) the period, and it was after 106 A.D., when the romans took over this war symbol from the dacians?(Dacian Draco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
Even if the dat was after 106 AD, this draco.wolf is still dacian. The romans only took it over from the dacians.
You dhould bring/sell it to a museum, ofcourse with data of where you found it, which unfortunetally is totally missing on this page :(

Welcome to this site from me too! :notworthy:
I'm very happy to tell you that i'm a licensed detectorist in Germany and working together with the authorities in my state and for sure i DID NOT share locations of ANY sites i detect on the internet. I did not know who you are and didn't give a rats a.ss for that, but you can trust me that everything meets German requirements regarding find reports.
