Hey every one glad that your looking at this posting and maybe you can help out. I had this coin over a year now and Im lost on what it is. I do think it a Vandal type but I have one all ready and it doesnt look the same at all. I've been collecting Ancient coins for 10 yrs but sometimes I get lucky but not today. Maybe someone out there can ID this coin. It's 10mm and weights 1.2 grams and I got this with a lot of uncleaned Romans from Spain area. I tried to get some pics but the camera doesnt have a close up. So drew a pic of the coin so all can look at. Thanks all

One side of the coin reminds me of the coinage of Phoenicia Sidon.


See attached Picture (Ship above waves, usually a sea creature below) Also usually silver but fourees are not unknown for this time period.

Well I found something that looks like it in the Islamic coins (Umayyads) but Im still looking around. Tell me what you all think. HH
