I think this year should be named - the 'deep plough year.' As luck would have it they have done a 9 inch turn on this site. Its still an ankle breaker but due to competition on this farm, I wanted to cherry pick until its disced down. It was a solo 3.5 hour hunt. Cru'Dad was busy but as it happen's its a waste of time for his Cortes & too risky with his injuries. This ones on me.

20 Roman Bronze Coins, good news is the biggie, hopefully its thrown up a Silver.
Roman Hob Nail
Roman partifact

I had to hide in a deep ditch when the thunder storms passed over.:laughing7:

Yeap, but its a massive scatter, many acres to cover; will it be today......:dontknow:

Same i have here. More than 22 Acre field with a site somewhere on it. Recently found roof tiles and pottery in the corners thrown off the potatoe harvester. No cropmarks to help me.

We know the size & shape of the scatter as we have mapped it all. The coins are spread out over about 22 acres, so a lot of gridding is what I meant. Although with the bad conditions I started in the best area. Look at for my next late night post.
