It is a small town, here was one of the 10 roman fortress in pannonina (97.000 square meters).
Wow, didn't realise how far east you are, my friend. This would have been known as Illyria in Roman times?
According to the ancient British chronicles amd the reason southern Britain was so ravaged by Scots and Saxons in the late 4th early 5th century was due to Emperors stripping the province of the flower of it's youth, taking all the fighting men off to the continent to fight in the western empires endless internal struggles. As well as settling Amorica so much so it was renamed "Britanny" a countless many where also said to have settled in Illyria....
As Michael Caine might say, Not many people know that.

Im a little bit easter than you think and thanks for the info, it always good to learn something new. Im located in “Quirinum” as the romans would say.

That region looks beautiful. The nearest I've been to your neck of the woods was Slovenia decades ago when I was too young to really appreciate it.
I remember journeying there with my Anglophilic arrogance expecting some backward $☆¿■hole. Well that got knocked right out of me upon arrival. What really struck me was not just the natural beauty but the high standards, cleanliness, civility and friendliness of the people. Your area gives me a similar vibe as that. Would love to go, especially armed with my detector

Yes, it is beautiful, it has a really good natural feature because of the hills, rivers, lakes. Not everyone is friendly but most of the people do. We have a rich history but the problem is metaldetecting illegal here unless you have license which is very hard to get. Everything you find is state property and you get nothing if you find something (may be you get two books, ridiculous).

Even if you get a license and declare your finds the state simply takes them off you?
Wow, that's an incentive to lose your nations history as finds will still be made but will go unrecorded and lost to history. I kinda like Orban compared to other European premiers but he needs to sort that one out.
