Hi Treasure Hunters,
I don't post very often, but when i come back from my annual Eastern European trip,i like to share my finds with the like minded people.Have no roman gold like last year, but no reason not to be happy. The best ones are ; bronze age axe,a superb spear head, votive lead tablet of the Danubian Horseman cult around 300 AD (the second one ,find one last year).Silver horseman brooch, roman silver, medieval hammered silver, spur, and over hundred roman bronze (soaking in olive oil right now). I still have jetleg so will cut it short, pictures say a million world.
I would appreciate some help with the silver horseman. My take, it is from the Great Migration period around 500-900 AD.The horseman wearing a fishscale armor. Late roman army Had that type, but looks barbarian to me. What you think Crusader? Hope you guys enjoy it like i do. Thanks for looking.

Wow, what amazing finds. I cant decide what to vote banner on but I will vote for the silver horseman. The key was on my list also. You dont see many keys like that at all. Just amazing. WOW again. BANNER. Dont know anything about the lead tablet but that is BANNER material. I am sure of that. Whole post is BANNER.

Damn -- banner on the whole lot, especially the horseman! Great finds.....I too have hunted in England a bit, always makes me feel like the stuff we find here is barely worth the effort for a while after I come back home! ;D Ooooooh look a Merc! :laughing9:

If this were England, it would be extremely unusual.

You found my whole wish list in one trip, LOL! Just awesome finds, congrats!!! Any problems bringing the finds back through customs? HH, Mike

:o :o :o

Great finds and post Frank :notworthy:...it's nice to see some REAL old finds posted on here :icon_thumleft: that's what you call REAL Treasure finds :notworthy: :hello:

There's at least 3 items you found would make a UK Banner :-\ but I suspect none of yours will :dontknow:

WOW :icon_salut: Great finds! Love that woodland picture too - by the look of the size of the fallen trees in the background that's ancient woodland right?
