Hi Treasure Hunters,
I don't post very often, but when i come back from my annual Eastern European trip,i like to share my finds with the like minded people.Have no roman gold like last year, but no reason not to be happy. The best ones are ; bronze age axe,a superb spear head, votive lead tablet of the Danubian Horseman cult around 300 AD (the second one ,find one last year).Silver horseman brooch, roman silver, medieval hammered silver, spur, and over hundred roman bronze (soaking in olive oil right now). I still have jetleg so will cut it short, pictures say a million world.
I would appreciate some help with the silver horseman. My take, it is from the Great Migration period around 500-900 AD.The horseman wearing a fishscale armor. Late roman army Had that type, but looks barbarian to me. What you think Crusader? Hope you guys enjoy it like i do. Thanks for looking.

Your usual successful trip :icon_thumright:

As you point out the horseman is not Roman, but I have nothing similar in my books to be sure which period it is after that :dontknow: Your guess is probably not far off. :icon_thumright:

Absolutely fantastic finds :headbang: everything !!! , the spear head is in unbelievable shape great find :notworthy: Jim

that silver horseman is really awesome! Isn't it just amazing to find bronze age items? I got so spoiled hunting over there I hardly want to dig pennies here now! lol congrats on the great finds.

PS. I like the Roman Key, its a style I've yet to find :headbang:

Damn -- banner on the whole lot, especially the horseman! Great finds.....I too have hunted in England a bit, always makes me feel like the stuff we find here is barely worth the effort for a while after I come back home! ;D Ooooooh look a Merc! :laughing9:

Way to go F.... !!! Your trip was well worth it once again I see  . The finds there are much better than I used to get in sausage land, but I´m now back in Blighty for a while, so maybe I´ll get something better too :dontknow: Here´s hoping :tongue3: And keep up the good work your end :hello2:
