📌On the route of an old ridge road, in the area where I had been a few years ago, together with good friends, I discovered in the slope area several disparate objects from the Roman and Middle Ages, namely :
➡️ medieval iron arrowhead;
➡️ medieval iron spur with pin, rare, from the 11th-14th centuries;
➡️ medieval iron spur with wheel, also having the system of attachment to the boot, approximately 14th-17th centuries;
➡️ curved iron tool, for processing-hollowing wood, with pin for attachment in the wooden handle, possibly Roman period, 2nd-3rd centuries;
➡️ iron axe, elongated and narrow blade, possibly Roman period, 2nd-3rd centuries;
➡️ medieval iron battle axe, with a wide and curved blade;
The objects confirm once again the presence and transit of populations from the Roman and Middle Ages in that area. For those interested, the photo scale on the ruler is 1 cm, and photo editing to dimensions is in millimeters.

Quite amazing to look at those from my perspective. There's not much of interest made of iron where I am due to our very short history so we either ignore them or disc them out.
Yet here you have all good historical keeper finds centuries old made out of the very thing we curse and reject.
Good stuff 👍

That's incredible! You will have a nice museum in your living room.

Great Finds!
May I ask how deep the objects were?

Also, on the Roman fort objects, what were the depths.
Trying to get an idea for a future expedition.
The sites are in forested areas, so because the trees have been there for hundreds or thousands of years, their roots have moved objects into the soil, and objects from different historical periods can be at about the same depth. For example, the coins and other objects from that Roman fort area are about 4-6 inches deep, and the objects shown here are about the same depth, except for the axes, which being heavy, so they have sunk into the soil to about 9-10 inches.

Buna ziua Cristi. Fantastic finds! You are lucky to be able to detect in an area with so much history. My wife is from Baicoi, Prahova and she visits Romania about every year. The oldest artifacts I have been able to find here in Arizona are only about 460 years old. 73, KI6R.

Bună ziua Edward ! 😊Even though the metal traces in the U.S.A. are not that old, it's very interesting that very old Amerindian artifacts are found. I follow this kind of very beautiful discoveries such as arrowheads or axes from different rocks and I have seen that there are people who have impressive collections of such artifacts. I wish you good luck Ed and 73! by yo6oej Cristi
