I found this rock alongside a stream on our property. It's sizeable with a completely flat bottom and unique markings on the top. It struck me as man-made and not a natural occurrence. We live in an area with a rich Native American history and many arrowheads have been found within a couple thousand feet of this particular find. This rock may not have originated where I found it since the stream comes down from the mountain and is prone to serious flooding at times. I'm just wondering if I have something here and if so, what could it be?

definitely has the look of a petrified brain. I can easily see the frontal, temporal, parietal, and occipital lobes. Only problem is the lack of a central sulcus. However, the general sulci are prominent with obvious central wasting. CT scan will most likely show some white matter ischemia. I think we need a CT scan to evaluate for hippocampal size, possible pituitary adenoma, and discontinuity of the corpus callosum.
