Hi, I found this strange-looking thing on a field scattered with flint in the south of the UK. There wasn't much else apart from the abundance of flint. Yet this one is very different and out of context.
At first, I thought it was some iron chunk or a byproduct of iron smelting. It's dense, non-porous and it's fairly heavy for its size. The surface is reddish like iron oxide, but it's not ferromagnetic at all.
I'm hoping maybe someone could tell me what this might be.
Cheers!
