Rock Identification help?

I found this rock a few weeks ago on the shores of Lake Michigan, and I'm stumped as to what this rock is since I've never seen one like it! Any suggestions to what it may be?

Hmm, never have seen a rock like it. It is interesting to wonder just exactly what caused the pattern in it.

check to see if it is magnetic. Its possibly a meteorite, no guarantee's. Amazing pattern and colors. Really reminds me of 2D Modern art in 3D rock form. Almost has the Van-Gogh effect. Very Cool and Excellent find.

Honeycomb coral. I have many pieces from Lake Michigan.

fossilised structure can be seen easily. i searched for the mentioned honeycomb coral, looking to the patterns, seems very likely.

Looks like a favosite to me. Fossils aren't my wheelhouse though.

favosite is the scientific name of honeycomb coral so, i guess we all are agreed with penny g.
