Hey guys, I'm taking a trip up the the U.P. Thurs-Monday, I hope to hit some old wooded areas like last time (didn't fare so well then), and hopefully an old brothel from the turn of the century. Just wanted to wish you all luck in your hunts, I won't have internet so I will be a no-show for awhile. Later!

Go get 'em Joe, hope you do well!

Good luck Joe. Hopefully the grass isn't too high to swing and watch out for the biting flies.
Where in the UP are you going?

Hey guys,

Well, I'm back early, we decided to leace today instead of tomorrow. I had a great trip up there, for those "Yoopers" interested, my girlfriend's family has a place in Stonington, and we go up there a few times a year. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything on this trip. I detected a very old yard (which I detected before), and was surprised when I pulled 1980-1981 memorial cents from 7 inches. As some of you locals know, much of the ground up there is hard packed from all of the fossilized sea mud, shells and stuff so digging was very hard in a few places. Didn't matter since I didn't find anything good, lol. I had a great trip though.

Maybe someone here knows more than me about any old places to detect around Rapid River/Gladstone/Escanaba? I'm heading back next month probably.

Joe

Sorry you didn't find anything. Thompy should be able to help you out in that neck of the woods. I'm over in the Copper Country about 15 miles east of Mass City.
