My brother and his wife headed down to the hunting club and checked out the creek I last hunted in July and posted on. This is what they found in the creek. Could use some help on the ID of the blade and broke. BTW that broke base is huge. Great patina, its like they never got turned over but the creek floods big time. I was thinking maybe Copena and ??

Here is what my girlfriend and I found on the river at that crazy tool site we keep going back to. One decent triangular and a knife. We found a lot of little knapped tools and pieces but that was about it. This is what we threw up on the bank for a picture and what the pockets of debri look like we search. I wish now I had of got the big chert rock in the picture.

Sorry for being picture heavy. I was happy with that knife and Jacque was happy with her guntersville triangle.
I think the Creek beat the River on this hunt. Thanks for lookin and happy huntin.

Hey Tn,
Believe it or not, Obsidian is still used for some surgeries. It is said that it hold an edge to an almost molecular degree of fineness. I've lately cut with Iris scissors that I'd trade for even a fair piece of quartzite.
Keep those photos coming,
Doc
Will do Doc
Hopefully some points thirty7 made for me will harvest a deer this year and am still looking for a good knock off flake to dress it. One time only and just for fun. They may ban me for posting using the tools but I have been banned from bigger sites, haha I am kidding. Thanks Doc for all you do.

Hey Phil
You can drink out of that creek where it was found but it sure lays the minerals down. The creek has a small fresh water shrimp and periwinkles in it and is ice cold. Good hearing from ya.
