River find......

I walked up on this point 10-22-06...............
River hunting................
This is one of those points found in River bed..............that just fell from the silt bank,right behind the point
I did not take a picture of the River bank that day..........................but looking back I should have............just to show it better...................

And show the normal polish from River flow that 98% of my River finds have
The stem point on the right is very interesting............
I have yet to find one on land.......but have some from the River

I'am a active hunter not arm chair typest...................
The way I figure........................
The less my face is seen.........................the more I'am seeing!
I like dirt/field finds best................but I started hunting on the River 25 years ago and will always hunt it................
Sometimes a 3 inch perfect point will come out...................
Its all good......................
My rocks are payback for those Northen guys who get to find 1850's gold and silver coins

In this area the finer points/artifacts are found around the big waters. Most are there for a short time before being swept to deep water. Field finds are usually field grade but sometimes we get lucky.
I like the dark band in that material. Nice recovery.
