This is a great show with lots of quality artifacts on display from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and the surrounding aeas. I met quite a few PROS members down there in the last few yaers and hope to see a few more this time around. I know last years show had 110 tables set up according to the newsletter. Hope to see some of you there again this year.

Ohioriverhunter, stop by and see me. My name is Steve Valentine and I'll be setting up 4 tables along side my brother Jeff who will have 2 tables.
O MY GOD!!!!!!! WOW :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :hello2: :hello2: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Thanks, but 4 tables is nothing. I set up thirteen 6 foot tables at the show in Portsmouth a few years back and once set up 12 tables at an ASO show in Columbus. I just don't like to take that much to a show anymore because it's to hard to watch it all, plus it's real pain to pack it all up, take it to the show, and then unpack it and put it all back where it goes when I get home.

I will see you there for sure, I am going to display a few at The Miami Valley Artifacts Table(s)

Dorkfish, I need to show you some of those pieces from the Rist collection. The guy(about 55 yeras old) his father and grandfather hunted all the good sites in Southern Ohio. Some really great stuff. I reserved an extra table this year for at the show for Creekhunter and a few other friends to show off some of thier personal finds. One guy found a nine pound 3/4 Axe with no damage (wish I had a pic to show off, it's huge). anyway, see you there!!

in the meuser minatures collection pictured above the frame is not as complete as it was last year. I met up with the owner of said frame and in a weak moment he allowed me to purchase a very nice pendant from that frame. see below for pics. hope I did this right

That's an awesome pendant, never seen one like that before. I'm gonna have to make the trip up to Ripley if I can get a day off.

Steve,

Thanks for posting message about the show. As of today, I have 88 table reservations. I will easily hit 100 again this year, and will probably get close to 110. I am also cautiously optimistic that the weather will be good for the show. Next week it will be warming up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone needs any info on the show, I run it. My email is [email protected] and my phone number is 513-509-7420.

Steve's(dorkfish) display is worth the drive by itself. He has won the best display in the past, and really could win every year if we didn't spread it around a bit.

Here is a picture of my favorite artifact of all time. It is a Meuser piece and owned by Bob Converse.

Regards,
Jon Dickinson.

Jon, you are more than welcome. I have also posted it in a couple of other boards and have gotten some good responses. Hopefully it will help draw in a few more people. I have also been taking the flyer around town and putting it up in businesses and I'm going to contact the radio and see if they will announce it on their "around town" segment.

I saw where the weather is supposed to get a little better next week, but no matter how the weather is I will be there early Sunday morning. I've been looking forward to this show for quite some time. It is definitely one of the best shows I have ever attended.

I'll see you on the 15th.

Everyone be sure to check out John (Barney) Barnharts collection he told me he has 3 tables reserved for the show... ;D
