I found this Sterling Silver ring, marked Mexico .925, this small gold colored ring which I think is gold plated, a key (True Value), and this whatisit. Also found half of a penny. Looks like it lost a fight with a lawnmower. Also this copper (I believe because of the green patina on it), circle something. Don't think it's a ring cuz it looks like it has grooves on the inside of it. Additionally, $2.19 in clad. 1 quarter, 39 pennies, 5 nickels and 13 dimes.

Nice finds the ground here is still to hard to dig. The M1 on the key means it's for a Master padlock.
Keep on digging!

Nice rings!! The "not a ring" thingy looks like a copper crush gasket to me. HH!

What's a copper crush gasket used for?

Cool. Thanks for providing the information. I like to learn stuff about the finds. Makes it a lot more interesting. thanks for sharing.

When you say a half a penny you mean it don't you :D I think the rule of thumb is if you have at least 3/4 of a dollar bill the bank will take it, wonder what the rule of thumb is on coins, lol. And you know I gotta ask the bank this week just to see the deer in the headlight look they give me :P

skane, I have found a few of the copper rings in the past month or so, I think that they are from a horses bridle, but I could be wrong.....nice ring

HH
