I was on the opposite end of this one for a change. My in-laws are in from Florida for the holiday weekend, and we decided to have a pre-Thanksgiving feast at a local restaurant. On the morning of Thanksgiving day my father-in-law noticed he was missing his gold tiger eye ring, which he has worn every day for the last 60 years. We searched the house up and down wondering if it was somewhere in the house, but no luck. I drove to the parking lot of the restaurant, which was closed for the holiday. There was not a car in the lot which gave me a clear view of the lot. No ring >:(

I was not optomistic, but I phoned the restaurant asking if someone had found a ring. The person on the other end of the line was working that night and happened to find the ring and turned it into the office! My wife drove over and picked up the ring. I never thought that we would see this ring again!

Honorable mention to Champps Americana! (They have the best Bleu Cheese Burger anywhere!)

That's a great story! There are alot of honest people in the world, thank goodness. HH

Excellent,
I had a similar incident during the holiday, except I was the finder. A man here for the holidays visiting relatives lost his wallet in our kroger parking lot with quite abit of cash, bank and credit cards so forth. I returned it to a person that i knew at the service counter, they phoned me and told me that it was returned to the owner that called in looking for it and was very emotional with happiness.

Honesty is such a rewarding thing, being able to bring happiness into a stressful time is priceless.

It does feel good, I found a purse in the alley behind my parents house several years ago. It still had all the credit cards and a drivers license in it so I was able to look up the owner in the phone book(remember those?) and she came and got it. It had been stolen from her car at a kids soccer game. The happiness she felt at not having to replace the license and the cards. All they stole was her Rosary. Go figure.

No doubt, honesty is its' own reward and an anonymous good deed is the truest kind. :icon_thumleft:
