Update on Class Ring: I was able to make the return tonight! Jay’s girlfriend lost the ring in about 1991. His mother bought it for him his sophomore year (1990). They were with a bunch of other kids jumping off the pier and it fell off her hand (she had red yarn to keep it tight). The girl became the mother to his son, also named Jay but sadly she has since past away, so this ring has significant sentimental value. I thoroughly enjoyed giving the ring back to where it belongs!
But it before all this fun, I spent the day hunting at two different beaches. One middle bay early, then one in the upper bay later in the afternoon. Was able to score two gold at each location. All 14K.
Two interesting finds were were these two tokens. One looks like it was carved from a coin, possibly Mexican, the other looks like some sort of trade token.
