I went to a small beach this morning there there are lots of birds. I actually went looking for a couple of feathers that I could bring home to my cat who loves to play with them. I got there while it was still dark and started hunting the dry sand. I couldn't see a darn thing! I was sure I would find a couple of long feathers. I didn't! I did see lots of birds but no feathers. It was very windy this morning so maybe they blew away. About an hour in to my hunt I managed to find a penny and a Sea World souvenir. Then I came across a couple pull tabs and bottle caps. Sheesh this was depressing! The sun was coming up and the wind was even stronger now. It wasn't cold but the water sure looked cold. Now for all you gng's that hunt the dry sand exclusively - I gotta hand it to you - that is some hard walking! It sure gives you a workout! BAM I got a hit..... it was a ring! OH YES it was a ring. Hooray! My first ring for 2009. I couldn't see it clearly so I just put it in my pocket and went on.
I covered that whole beach (I said it was small) I only found a few more pull tabs and bottle caps and a key-looking thing. I don't know what it is.
Well the sun was up now and I ventured to the edge of the water. I did not intend to get in because it looked cold! I really wasn't! So I went in up to my knees and got just the bottom edge of my shorts wet. The water was not cold but the wind blowing on my wet shorts was! It didn't matter I didn't find anything in the water except two more bottle caps, a piece of wire and a paper clip. Well it was time to leave for the morning.
When I got back to the car I took out the ring to look closer at it and viola! It is silver. It has 925 stamped inside. OK! That made my morning. My clad total.... ONE PENNY!
