The first of the week I ventured out to the site of an old horse race track in my home town..Not a lot of locals know about it. Mostly plowed field for cotton today. I was hunting where I thought the main entrance would have been. Found a lot of trash, nails etc. But did get one sharp hit that turned out to be the best thing I have found in the jewelry group. Plus it has diamonds..Never found anything with diamonds before....I know it is a Masonic ring.. But have never seen one so ornate....The track operated from late 1800's to about 1930. There are homes and cotton fields there now. Had a friend who found a half dime about 200 yards from where I found the ring...But do not know of anything else dug in the area. Can someone date this for me who is familiar with Masonic jewelry? My guess is 14k white gold. 12 diamonds...All marks are long gone from the wear.....
I really do not think I can top this...
Thanks!
