Ring found at colonial site

Any way to date this old ring found at colonial site? Looks like some type of mark underneath. Would love to know age range.

looks kinda like the mark once maybe said '18k'. my guess is probably mid to late 1800's has been sized and soldered evidently with gold solder. either way, whoever bought that ring got ripped off
