"Riley" scores again for me. w/pix...rileyboy

Haven't done much posting lately as the findings have been thin and I've been out of action for a while due to surgery for a hernia caused by my last hip replacement. Anyway, I got home from the hospital on Tuesday and was "down for the count" for a few days. Couldn't take "Riley" out, so he's been cooped up with me. Well, this morning I just had to bite the "pain bullet" and take him up to the dog park for an hour so he could see his pals. While sitting on the bench a lady came in with her dog and sat down. We chatted for a while and she said that she was a head teller at one of the banks in the area. I told her I visited many banks as I was a coin collector and checked around the banks to see if they had any half dollars. She said that one of her tellers had one roll of half dollars if I was interested. She told me where the bank was and said to stop by after 3:30 PM as that's when the part time teller would be there. After I got home and rested for a while I could tell "Riley" wanted to get out again, so we got in the car and headed out to find that bank. Spent almost an hour trying to find it and almost gave up. I always thought I knew where all the banks were in my neck of the woods, but I had never been to this one. After many u-turns and what else, I finally found this branch tucked in the back of a mall almost hidden by woods. When I walked in, there was the lady I had met at the dog park and she welcomed me with a smile. She got the one roll of halves from the teller and told me if anymore come in she will save them for me. WELL!....as I'm walking back to the car I looked at the roll and it was obviously an "old" wrapper and I could tell by the weight that there was something good in there. I peeked at one end and there was a Walker. I peeked again at the other end and there was another Walker........then out came the silver! One whole roll of 13 Walkers and 7 Franklins. Here are the dates: WLH, 1923-S, 1934-S, 1935, 1941-S,
1941-D, 1942 (3), 1943 (2), 1945 (2), 1947......FRANKLINS, 1951 (2), 1951-S, 1951, 1952-D, 1953-D, 1954-S. That dog "Riley" is something else. I never would have gotten this roll if I hadn't taken him to the dog park today. He's my buddy. It's out there! Ya just gotta be persistent and lucky! I hope the picture comes out okay.
